Letter to the "Littlehampton Gazette", which appeared in the issue dated 3rd June 2010.

Through your newspaper, I should like to put on public record my thanks to my fellow Littlehampton Town Councillors who elected me as Deputy Mayor for this Civic Year, 2010-11 at last Thursday's Annual Council Meeting. I am most humbled and deeply appreciative of the fact that apart from my colleague, Councillor Dr James Walsh, I am the only Liberal Democrat to have been so honoured. I have a strong connection to the Town having lived here mostly since March 1963 so Littlehampton is very much my home town. I look forward with pride to carrying out my role as the Town's Deputy Mayor.

In Littlehampton there are currently 5 Liberal Democrat Town Councillors, 4 of whom are also District Councillors including Dr James Walsh, who is also the County Councillor for the Littlehampton East Division.
