United we Stand! - The March in Beach Road

Littlehampton residents turned out in their hundreds today, despite the wind and rain to attend the Hospital march organised by Liberal Democrats and attended by the Conservative MP.

When the procession reached the health meeting at the Windmill Theatre, residents who had gathered in the rain clapped the march.

Labour party activists were on hand with a petition.

Mark Foster one of the march organisers said:-

"Littlehampton united today with activists from all political parties joining ordinary concerned residents to give a clear message that we want Littlehampton Hospital rebuilt and Worthing and St Richards to remain as centres of excellence, I want to thank the local Conservative and Labour parties but especially local residents."

The Windmill Theatre was packed, with some one hundred residents unable to enter.
